If you're interested in finding a way to read through the Bible in 2011, check out this post. Personally, I downloaded the chronological reading plan. Looks intriguing. Bible Reading Plans – Justin Taylor
The bible reading plan I use divides the bible up as to type of literature. This means we read each day 1 or more chapters from LAW, HISTORY, POETRY, PROPHETS, GOSPELS, CHURCH. This balanced approach means one never get blocked because the 6 portions you read are all different kinds of stories. When one story seems difficult, you can still read it, knowing you will be reading something you enjoy more in just a minute. Finally, at 6 chapters a day, you get through the old testament 1 time a year and the new testament 3 times. Go up to 5 chaps/day each section and you read thru the O.T. 3 times, New Test 7 times a year.
